Today You Can Make a Difference
Your gift is the beginning of many good things to come. Our services help students become better parents, more productive employees, and engaged citizens who give back to their communities. While public support provides the framework by which Literacy Chicago serves the community, our mission is brought to life through the commitment of individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
Ways to Donate
ANNUAL FUND Your one-time, monthly or annual gift keeps our wheels turning. General operating contributions allow us to maintain programming and vital resources for the day-to-day work of our staff and volunteers. Your support has a direct impact on the lives of our students who, in turn, help others.
JUNE PORTER VOLUNTEER FUND A tribute to June Porter, a 20-year literacy advocate and veteran instructor, this fund ensures quality tutoring experiences for both volunteer and student. Your contributions support continuing education workshops, materials acquisition, and other important resources for tutors and their student partners.
PLEDGE GIVING The automated installment plan for donors who want ease and convenience in making donations.
PLANNED GIVING Donate through a bequest, trust, annuity, or estate gift allows you to protect your current assets while allowing Literacy Chicago to plan for long-term success.
TRIBUTE GIFTS Offer a meaningful way to mark an important personal or family occasion while also supporting a worthwhile cause.
CORPORATE MATCHING GIFTS May allow you to match, double, or even triple your personal contribution through your employer’s matching gift program.
IN-KIND GIFTS Are always welcome – including books, supplies, furniture, and professional services that help us reduce operating costs.
EVENT SPONSORSHIPS Help raise public awareness of adult literacy needs and Literacy Chicago while affording your company the benefits of cause-related marking and media visibility.
